As you settle in and get comfortable, please take a few minutes to acquaint yourself with our policies.
These rules are set to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone in the property during your stay. If anything is unclear, please contact us so we can give further detail and avoid any misunderstandings.
Carrying firearms, human trafficking, the possession, distribution and use of illegal substances, unruly and
disrespectful behaviour and the violation of any local or national laws will not be tolerated. You will be evicted forthwith. Any payment made shall not be refunded, any payment owed shall be settled in full.
1. Treat our home with the same respect as you would your own. We have put a lot of time and effort into making this into a lovely space to be enjoyed by our guests.
2. Maintain a good level of cleanliness throughout your stay. It’s good for you, its good for the facilities and it’s even better for the environment. Plus it makes for an easier check-out.
3. Keep noise to a minimum, especially during nighttime hours. As a courtesy to our neighbours and other guests, the use of personal loud speakers and any form of karaoke is strictly prohibited at all times. We observe an 8:00pm to 8:00am “Noises Off” policy.
4. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property except in the designated smoking areas. Dispose your cigarette butts in the bin provided. Smoking is most especially not allowed in the guest suites. Any violation will result in a fine of PhP20,000 or higher depending on the smoke damage assessed.
5. Do not move furniture or other in-room items from the rooms and into the outdoor areas. In case of damage, accidental or otherwise, caused by guests to our facilities, amenities, equipment and furniture, damage will be assessed and a repair or replacement cost will be charged prior to check-out.
6. Never leave your children unattended. Children should be supervised at all times by an adult and never left alone in the room, the pool or in any of the outdoor areas of the property. Guests are responsible for their personal safety and the safety of their children at all times.
7. Always exercise caution. Part of the property is situated on a cliff. Be mindful of your surroundings when near the edge of the property overlooking the ocean. An Instagram worthy picture is not worth the fall. The cliffside hammock area can be dangerous due to uneven terrain and is off limits after dark.
8. We do not provide a safety deposit box. Do not leave your valuables unattended.
9. Pets are not allowed in the LivingSpace Property.
10. Our staff is small but awesome! They built this place from the ground up and have stayed on to be of service. They are part of our island family. Always be kind and respectful.
Our water is sourced from two deep-well providers and stored in a 40,000 litre cistern and maintained at 2.5-3.0 PPM chlorine level. While safe for showering, washing and cleaning, do not drink water from the taps. Filtered and purified drinking water is provided in a self-service water dispenser at the Bistro Dining Space for water refilling.
Water is a precious commodity in our island. Please conserve water at all times and ensure that your shower and faucet taps are fully closed when not in use.
Power outages on the island are a common occurrence and can last between 15 and 30 minutes. Restoration takes longer during inclement weather. In the event of a blackout, emergency lights are provided in-room.
In an effort to better maintain our equipment and conserve the island’s limited energy resources, we ask that you kindly switch off all lights when not in use and turn off your room’s air conditioner if you will be leaving your room for the day to explore the island. We will be happy to turn the air conditioner back on for you prior to your arrival to ensure your comfort when you return.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the property and our environment is one of our guiding principles. Kindly dispose your garbage properly in the bins provided around the property. Do not throw or leave trash on the beach and in the ocean.
A trash dispenser is provided in both the room and bathroom areas where garbage can be disposed. Aside from toilet paper, do not throw any items in the toilet as this may cause blockage or damage to our STP [Septic] system.
We built the LivingSpace with the intent to cause as little damage and disturbance to the habitats of the animals that made our property their home long before we came. We share these grounds with a myriad of creepers, crawlers and a few larger
critters. When you come in contact with them, use common sense. If it looks dangerous, don’t touch it! We will be happy to relocate the offending creature for you. Do not feed any stray animals that come into the property.
In-room dining is not allowed. We ask you NOT to bring food and drink into your room. The ants and everything else will find a way!
Our home is on the western side of the property. While you are welcome to explore and enjoy all the guest facilities and outdoor areas within the property, guests are not allowed in the owner’s private space and residence.
For guests who bring their personal vehicles, drive right in! We have allocated one parking space within the LivingSpace property for each available guest suite.
We know it’s been a long trip so we made check-in a breeze. When you arrive at the property, take a load off at the check-in counter while our dedicated staff bring your belongings straight to your room. Grab a refreshing welcome drink, breath in that fresh ocean breeze, and if you have already sent us copies of your valid ID’s, then just sign on the dotted line. Welcome. We are delighted to have you!
It’s no secret that cell and Wi-Fi signal on the island can be spotty if not outright absent. We have done our level best to pick up as much of anything out there as we can. There are no guarantees. Some days are just better than others. On the flip side, unplugging for a day or five might just be what the doctor ordered.
We are not a serviced hotel and our facilities do not operate on a 24-hour period. This allows us to rest our staff, maintain our equipment and most importantly, make everything clean and hygienic for the next day’s use.
